This is such a fun image! I love your muscly bun. Your background is brilliant - please could you tell us how you made it? Thanks for visiting and your lovely comments x

To make the backgound I covered the card with a page from the telephone book, then dabbed on some acrylic paint mixed with glazing medium. Then I put some embossing fluid on in the general shape of curtains and sprinkled on clear embossing powder. I didn't melt it completely because I wanted it to be rough and texture-y. Had to do it a couple of times because it kept melting smooth (grrr!). Then some red acrylic paint over the curtains with a little purple glaze and a dusting of gold PearlEx powder. The tie backs are cording I had hanging around and stuck down with matte medium.

Thanks so much for welcoming me in! I'm very excited about making art in miniature because I'm actually getting things FINISHED. And it's wonderful to connect with others who are engaged in the creative process.
